What is Giving Tuesday?

We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now, we have #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. Each year, on the Tuesday immediately following Thanksgiving, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and athletes around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.

It’s a simple idea. Join us and be a part of a global celebration of a new tradition of generosity during our weeklong campaign.

Where are we shining a light?

Today we shine a light on the Economic Opportunity & Empowerment pillar. After learning about the root causes and hearing the statistics, it became clear we needed to have an impact. The mission of this group is to leverage the Celtics brand equity, network, and resources, to drive wealth creation opportunities for Black and Brown communities in Greater Boston. Help support the efforts of all pillars with a gift to the campaign. 

Top Pillar Priorities

• Create revenue opportunities for Black and Brown owned businesses and entrepreneurs 
• Cultivate diverse talent externally to empower emerging leaders
• Identify internal barriers and recommend solutions to employ a more diverse workforce
