What is Giving Tuesday?

We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now, we have #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. Each year, on the Tuesday immediately following Thanksgiving, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and athletes around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.

It’s a simple idea. Join us and be a part of a global celebration of a new tradition of generosity during our weeklong campaign.

Where are we shining a light?

Today we shine a light on the Voting & Civic Engagement pillar. Every election affords American citizens an opportunity to help shape the communities we live in, and the very character of our nation. The mission of this group is to use our powerful platform to educate and empower voters to make their voices heard for the betterment of our collective futures. We will work to illustrate the importance of voting not just once every four years, but every time we are asked to exercise one of our most foundational rights. We will also aim to inspire engaged citizenry outside of election cycles, for the more committed we are to these rights and privileges, the more we can assure our government reflects and represents who we are.
