What is Giving Tuesday?

We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now, we have #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. Each year, on the Tuesday immediately following Thanksgiving, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and athletes around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.

It’s a simple idea. Join us and be a part of a global celebration of a new tradition of generosity during our weeklong campaign.

What is the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation?

The Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation (BCSF) strives to unite, empower, and uplift communities in need. BCSF extends the reach of the Celtics Championship legacy into the New England community by serving families and children in need.

What is Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island? 

Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. 

In the U.S. and its territories, a wish is granted every 34 minutes. A wish can be that spark that helps these children believe that anything is possible and gives them the strength to fight harder against their illness.

Wishes are more than just a nice thing. And they are far more than gifts, or singular events in time. Wishes impact wish kids, volunteers, donors, sponsors, medical professionals and communities. For wish kids, the act of making their wish come true can give them the courage to comply with their medical treatments.
